Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universitas Nasional and State University of Jakarta came to the office of Director General of Higher Education for a tentative program of Universiti Malaysia Sabah and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

Universitas Nasional and Universiti Malaysia Sabah signed a Memorandum of Understanding together with State University of Jakarta on Tuesday on March 4, 2014 in the office of the Director General of Higher Education, witnessed by Prof. Dr. Djoko Santoso.

UNAS represented by Vice Rector for Research and Community Services, Prof. Dr. Ernawati Sinaga, while UMS delegates were led by UMS’ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Moch Harun Abdullah, stated that UNAS and UMS has a long standing cooperation that has resulted in joint research programs, joint publication of the journal “Bumantara”, and faculty and students’ exchanges.

Meanwhile, the attache education from the Embassy of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur, Prof. Dr. Rusdi expressed his optimism that UNAS, UNJ, and UMS would be able to create a work plan to address problem of schooling for the children of Indonesians work force working in Malaysia’s palm-oil plantations around the boarder of Indonesia-Malaysia.
