Around 15 students from Catholic University of Daegu (CUD), Korea, took part in the Students Exchange Program and Joined Summer Program between CUD and UNASfrom August 07 -20, 2014. |
Led by CUD’s manager of international office, Mr. Ham Yong Myung, the students participated in teaching Korean language, dance, and games; visiting vocational school of tourism and orphanage in South Jakarta; and learning Indonesian language, martial arts (Pencak Silat) and dances (Saman and Poco-poco). The students also spent time in Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak, West Java to learn about Indonesian biodiversity and visited the tea plantation in the area to learn about tea production. The 15 students were from departments of food science and nutrition, hospitality and tourism administration, English language and literature, health and medical sicence, and economics & commerce. The cooperative program between the two universities will be continued next year in which students of UNAS would visit CUD in Korea.
