Aim of the program
Indonesian language for foreign learners or Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) is designed to equip participants of the program with the ability to use standard Indonesian language in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. |

2.1. Regular Program (BIPA I, II, III) |
| |
Each program lasts 2,5 months. Classes begin: |

12 hours of classes each week starting from 8:30 a.m to 12:00 p.m (with a 30-minute break), Mondays to Thursdays.

2.2. Special Program (Private Tutoring) at UNAS |

2.4 Guest Attendant Program
* Minimum deposit IDR 5,000,000
* Administration fee IDR 500,000/semester

* Minimum credit 6 credits – 2 credits = 14 sessions.
* Period of study Maximum 2 semesters
Notes:
Remaining deposit will be refunded. When a student of special program needs letters of recommendation, he/she is to pay IDR 5,000,000 for additional administration fees. |

Requirement for admission and procedure for application |

4.1 Requirement
A participant of BIPA FBSI UNAS must posses a valid study permit issued by the National Department of Education or Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi (Dirjen DIKTI) Kementrian Pendidikan Nasional. |

4.2 Procedure |
| |
|
A foreigner interested in participating in BIPA FBSI UNAS must apply to the head of the program at UNAS campus and submit the following documents: |

1. Photocopies of academic certificates and transcripts.
2. Curriculum vitae.
3. Photocopy of valid passport (pages that contain the holder’s information).
4. Three 3cm X 4 cm photographs of applicant.
5. A letter signed by the applicant stating that he/she will have sufficient funds to study in
Indonesia, by attaching recent statements of his/her bank account.
6. A letter signed by the applicant stating that he/she will abide by the existing law of
Indonesia while studying in BIPA.
7. A health certificate of the applicant from a certified physician that he/she is free from drugs.
8. A letter signed by the applicant stating that he/she will observe all rules and regulations of
BIPA FBSI UNAS. |

4.3 Admission |
| |
|
1. When the applicant is accepted, the head of BIPA will issue a letter of admission to the
applicant with which the applicant will apply for a social-cultural visa (VSB) at the
Indonesian Embassy consulate in his/her home country.
2. The applicant must submit for the application of study permit a letter from his/her sponsor
in Indonesia who will be responsible for his/her study in this country.
3. With the letter of admission from BIPA FBSI UNAS and the document mentioned, the
applicant will apply to Ditjen Kementrian Pendidikan Nasional for study permit.
4. An applicant must have his/her visa changed to a VSB. Only applicant with study visas can
apply for the program.
5. BIPA FBSI UNAS reserve the right to revoke the letter of admission of an applicant if he/she
fails to acquire a study permit from Dirjen DIKTI. |
